Aston-Martin | Jaguar

Aston Martin Lagonda Limited is a British manufacturer of luxury sports cars and grand tourers, founded in 1913.

The first car to be named Aston Martin was created by fitting a four-cylinder Coventry-Simplex engine to the chassis of a 1908 Isotta-Fraschini.

Aston Martin is associated with the “DB” series of luxury sports cars and grand tourers of the 1950s and 1960s, and with James Bond following his use of a DB5 model in the 1964 film Goldfinger.

Current Aston Martin models are the DB9 coupe/Volante, Vanquish, V8/V12 Vantage and the Rapide.

Jaguar Cars is a luxury brand of Jaguar Land Rover, a British multinational car manufacturer, owned by the Indian company Tata Motors since 2008.

Founded in 1922 as the Swallow Sidecar Company, then renamed SS Cars Limited in 1935, the name was finally changed to Jaguar during the war due to the similarity of its SS marque with the similar insignia of the Nazi SS.

The Jaguar XK series was introduced in 1948 with the XK-120 (named after its top speed- the fastest production car available), followed by the XK-140 in 1955 and the XK-150 in 1958.

In 1961 Jaguar introduced the voluptuous and iconic XK-E. In March 2008 the Jaguar E-type ranked first in The Daily Telegraph “100 most beautiful cars” of all time and number one of the Sports Car International Magazine’s “Top Sports Cars of the 1960’s” in 2004.

Current Jaguar models are the XE, XF, XJ and F-type.
